I am engaged to a wonderful man after a emotionally abusive marriage of 18 yr (total 21+ yr with my X). I regretfully had a tubal when my last daughter was born due to insecurities from my X cheating on me (I was VERY depressed about this decision, it was made right after giving birth without any real time to think about it- a choice I would have not made for myself under normal conditions). I had 3 daughters during my marriage and there was a very negative experience after each one with my X that took away from the beauty of the birth of a child. I always wanted more children. Now that I know what real love and caring is about as I have found it in my fiance, I want more than anything to share this experience with him, to have 2 children that are OURS, part of him, part of me. An opportunity to start a new family with him. I get so emotional over this dream that I cry. He, too, had a vasectomy due to the marriage he was in. (he dealt with cheating too). We both work hard, but have checked into the cost of about 15-20k to try to have IVF done and unless a miracle comes our way, I just dont know how we can make it happen. Winning the IVF would completely mean the world to us! We both really want to have, if possible, 2 children together and have the loving experience of two people truly caring about one another and raising them TOGETHER as it is meant to be. The thought of sharing this experience and having children of our own is the greatest dream I have. I am so in love with this amazing man and knowing he feels the same way about sharing this experience has made this dream ten times greater for me. Please consider helping us make this dream come true! This would be an even greater dream come true to me than the simple fact that I finally found who God intended me to be with. Thank you so much for your time and consideration! Cyndi

Thanks Cyndi for being the brave first... I hope you win because you sound like such a good person and like such a happy couple. Hang in there and Good luck on winning the contest. Have you looked into micro-ivf at all, is it an option where you are from? It has a much higher success rate than IUI and is considerably cheaper than IVF. East Coast has a good page on their program...

    Are we the lucky ones?

    Hello,
My name is Stephanie and my husband's name is Anson and we reside in Columbus, Ga. I am 28, soon to be 29 years old. I was recently diagnosed with PCOS. I have irregular cycles, however I am able to ovulate. My husband is 29 and he has a very low sperm count, 1 million. We have been married for 3 years and we are desperately wanting to start a family but due to our issues it has been difficult. We have been trying to conceive for the past 2 years. I work for non-profit agency, Boys & Girls Club, and my husband is a teacher and a coach. We love children and are around them all the time, but we are having trouble conceiving our own. According to our doctors our only option at this point is IVF. They do not offer Micro-IVF where I live, however I think it would be a cost effective option we would definitely try. We are currently saving up to have our IVF because of the state we live in our insurance will not cover the procedure. Although New Jersey seems like a stretch to travel for a procedure we are willing to do whatever it takes to start our family. We have family in NYC and New Jersey, so travel would be simple, and we would have somewhere to stay and transportation available for appointments and office visits. We are at a point in our lives were we feel like we have everything we need and want, a home, stable jobs, healthy relationships, family support, financial stability.......... except a baby. I hear the question everyday, "When are ya'll gonna have kids?" I want to say we would if we could, but my answer is always, we are trying. Some people are blessed with children and don't even know how lucky they are. Hopefully one day we will be one of the lucky ones. Thank you fore the opportunity to share our story and good luck to all who are trying to conceive.

All Things threw God is possible

my name is denise h my story is quiet heart breaking to me .I met and married a man of god.I never felt that I would meat anyone like him he's a preacher that has no children, but i was blessed with 6 lovely children whom who are all teenagers and two are grown.I had a tubalization in hope of one day having it reverse, but i sadly found out that the doctor that performed it took it upon herself to cut both ends of my tubes figureing that i had enough children, but i felt that it wasn't her choice to make.when i searched into this my heart was lost and so was my soul.I cried everyday because i felt like i had let mt husband down as a wife, what would bring joy to my heart would for him to see a child been born that can carry his name,he comes from a family of preachers of brothers of five that are preachers all which have children.I would do whatever it takes to make him happy .we searched into ivf but the cost range around 13,000 we would have to save for about 3 years are better, but i believe in my heart oneday we will get our blessing.I often see him looking at his brithers and sisters kids an it tears my heart into pieces please consider me for the contest.

What is the difference between micro-ivf and ivf? I am in Wisconsin--work in Milwaukee but live in Fond du Lac, thank you for the encouragement, I am praying we win too! We talked about it all last night, teary eyed the both of us, trying to figure out how on earth we could even remotely afford this on our own. I appreciate your input, where would I find more information on this?

They are the same with the exception being a full stimulation includes gonadotropin hormone injections for an average of 10 days that vary in dose but averages about 450 units. MicroIVF is a minimal stimulation that at East Coast Fertility we do with 100mg of clomid followed by 2 days of 75 units of gonadropins. There is usually a fairly large difference in the number of follicles stimulated especially in patients with large numbers of visible ovarian follicles on ultrasound. Please see my article on MicroIVF on this website.

Hi Everyone! I submitted my entry to Dr. Kriener by email, but I wanted to post real quick to wish everyone luck and say that I know how much we all hope and pray to win this free MicroIVF. Hopefully we'll all succeed in getting pregnant one way or another

Just to tell you really briefly about myself, I am 35 years old, PhD student, married for 2 years to my man of 17 years (college sweethearts). We've had one miscarriage--no kids. I have endometriosis which makes things difficult. The microIVF would change my entire life and possibly make our dreams of having a baby come true! It's so wonderful that someone is getting this opportunity. Thanks to Dr. Kreiner for making this possible.

    Best to all of you!

I have had several inquiries from patients from out of town who are interested in MicroIVF at East Coast Fertility whether they are eligible for a further discount than the $3900 fee currently offered or even to give away another pro bono IVF. I will discuss with my partners but if there is a lot of interest it would help me to convince them.

    16 Years and Counting

Our story is probably not uncommon but to me it is unique. I have wanted to have children since I was about 16. Of course I didn't try it then- I planned and prepared for it. I graduated went to college got my Masters and all the experience I could to ensure I stayed employed no matter the circumstance. My first marriage happened in my early adult years and we tried to have a child. I was young and had no medical issues (neither did he). We tried unsuccessfully for four years. After more exams and evaluations than I can name and four IUI's he got another woman pregnant. He said he just needed to know and prove the problem wasn't HIM...it was ME. Needless to say that marriage neded. My next relationship lasted six years, and it was terrible. Not only did it become abusive but this time the man in question got TWO women pregnant while we were together. Luckily I did not marry this man. By this time I had been tested so many times I could recite my results and procedures backwards in my sleep. I ovulate and have regular 28 day cycles with no problems EVERY month (you could make a calendar according to my cycle), and I've never even had a miscarriage. To date, nothing has ever been found that could be identified as the cause of my infertility.

Five years ago I finally ended up with THE perfect man. Well, no one is perfect but for everyone there is someone out there who is perfect for us. My husband is a really great person. He has two children from his first marriage. They don't live with us but he is still really supportive of our family building efforts and wants to raise a child with me. He holds my hand through every test or procedure, takes time off from work to be there even when I tell him he doesn't have to; and although he is scared to death of needles he is willing to get stuck time and again for the multitude of labs we have gone through together. And every month when we are UNsuccessful, he lets me cry on his shoulder and he doesn't complain, even though it hurts him not to be able to "fix it" for me. We can afford to care for a child...we just can't seem to make/have one. Our Kaiser insurance doesn't pay for IV,F and unless we can come up with 25 thousand dollars up front, IVF in the USA isn't even an option. Last year We did save up enough to try IVF once at a very good facility out of country, but the day after Thanksgiving it became obvious that it was a failed cycle. (No problems with the cycle...just a failure). A month after my failed IVF cycle I was accepted into a clinical trial at my RE's office. I was excited becuase it was an opportunity to try IVF here in the States. At this point the only thing discovered was slightly hig Natural Killer Cells and MTHFR- Neither of which is a major hurdle and both addressed/compensated for in the IVF cycle. Last month I had the required ultrasound for the IVF study and was disqualified because I had too many follicles. They let me wait another month to try again. Today was my ultrasound and again I had too many follicles. So, here I sit devastated, because every single U/S prior to these last two were perfectly normal. My lab work was great and I am not even a candidate for PCOS. Now all my options are gone, and all I can do is sit here and try to accept it. I can't understand how every ultrasound showed a normal amount of follicles before, my AMH was normal; but now when I am not on medication or anything else, I have these abnormaly high follicle counts that DISQUALIFY me for the clinical study. I cannot understand how nothing can be found, and everything can appear to be normal and working month after month, year after year...and yet I am still a failure at the one thing I worked so hard to be ready for. So that is it...that's where we are...and no matter how much I try to accept it, I don't know how to let it go.

    Hello..
My name is Giselle. I know that we all have our rocks onthe road to motherhood, but it seems that i am getting hit everytime i am close...I have always been the motherly one, the big sister, cousin and friend that has always acted like the mom. My favorite shows in my teen years where all in the discovery channel and ALL had to do with babies....So when I met the man of my dreams...Finished College, got engaged, got married.....there was no surprise that i was going to start to try...the only thing is that it did not happen....One year passed....then Two....Now i was having more and more problems with my period...went to the doctor and was diagnosed with PCOS Lucky for me I live in NJ, so my insurance at that time carried Infertility...I went to the Doctor, but he was not very helpful, I was descriminated because i was overwright so i wasted one year and 5 months on nothing...he kept me back and forth just drawing blood everytime...nothing else!....Soo we decided to try another opinion...this one was worse! She plainly said, "are you really thinking of getting pregnant...? i will only treat you once you have lost atleast 40 pounds. Call and make an Appointment when you are ready "....I was heart broken...I felt very depressed, I was now Infertile, no periods, no ovulation, FAT and no doctor wanted to help. I decided to drag myself to another doctor...and he was nice..willing to help and say that I was young and healthy and with some help I should get pregnant with no problem....Then again those rocks!! My employer changed insurance companies and now the new one DOES NOT cover NOTHING...Oh my God! was this really happening to me, now that I finally found a doctor....So we had to stop and raise money....in the meanwhile it seems that everyone was getting pregant....Everyone started to ask what is going on...?? Last year my grandmother, which i was extremely close to, Past away....What hurts the most is that she past away without having the chance to see my biggest dream come true...I feel that as a women I am worthless sometimes....Not being able to do the ONE thing that God intended me to do...Not giving my wonderful husband the chance to become the amazing father he could be.....The tears at night, the long prayers and pain in my knees of begging God to help me....Today i am feeling blessed in every way because my husband my AMAZING husband just told me that he has been secretly saving money for us to do IVF...This is why i fell in love with this man....This is why I am soo lucky....Soo I really hope that you can Help...and I really HOPE we win....Its been 5 LONG years...waiting.....I really think microIVF is the option for us...in every way possible....Baby Dust to you all...

WOW! Our stories are almost EXACTLY the same. I was 17 when I had my first child, then 19 when I had my second, and 21 when I had my third. My relationship was HORRIBLE and abusive. My ex constantly cheated on me among other abuses that I suffered at his hands. Anyway, while I was pregnant with my 3rd, the LPN's and Nurse Practitioners at the prenatal center were constantly taking me into a room with a social worker to talk to me about getting my tubes tied. They made me feel guilty for having 3 children at such a young age, they told me I would lose my health insurance and that I could be viewed as neglecting my children if I didn't do it. GOD! I was so naive! These people even came into my delivery room while I was in labor to discuss it with me. Well, I felt the same as you about my relationship. I was depressed, felt trapped, and had these people in my ear every chance they got. So I went through with it.... 6 years later, I finally left my ex. Now its going to be 10 years since I had the surgery, I'm remarried and my husband and I desperately want to have a baby. Like you this dream and the realization of this dream being so far away because of cost has put my husband and I both in tears. Now that I found this site, I'm very optimistic and I really hope they can help us.

Hi, I wanted to say how excited I was to find this site. To make a long story short, my story begins back in 88. I met a man that I thought was a good guy. Boy, I was wrong. For 8 years, I was emotional abused and in 93 he had convinced me to have a Tubal Ligation at the age of 27. Without ever having a child. His reasoning was that if I was to have an affair, I could not get pregnant. 3 years later, I divorced him and in 98 I married my soul mate. This man has 2 beautiful daughters from a previous marriage, whom I love as if they were my own. But that does not compare to having my own. And they reside in a different state. In 2004, I had a Tubal reversal. With only one tube funtional. Since then, I have had 3 IUI's. To no avail. I am 44 and am so desperate to have my own little miracle, that thats all I think about. Every waking moment, I dream of being a mommy, and crying everyday, when it doesnt happen. I have been married to this wonderful man for 14 years. We have a wonderful life together, and the only thing missing in my life is a child. Do I qualify for this MicroIVF or should I just give up?

I am very excited yet scared that i found this site!!! I am just hoping you can all help my husband and i conceive!!! My name is susan and my husband's name is michael our story goes back 27 years ago dec, 21 1983 when we became high school sweethearts i was only in 9th grade and mike was in 11th we were each others first loves. When i was 16 i accidentally got pregnant at that time michael had signed up for the navy so that he could begin his future once he graduated and take care of us...well unfortunately we lost our baby girl who was born too premature...when michael graduated he left for the navy and we kinda stopped talking for awhile. During his time in the navy i graduated high school my mom passed on my dad sold the house and i moved away. To make a long story short mike and i went on with our lives never forgetting each other our baby girl and the love we shared together. Well 20 years later we have finally found each other again~we met for the first time in 20 years on 1-19-2008 {my dad's b~day may he r.i.p.} and got engaged 2-9-2008 then married on valentines day 2008 it was just love at first site!!!! Well since we got married we have been trying to have a baby with no success!!! Very depressing for both of us!!! Our insurance does not cover any ivf or iui it will only cover clinic appointments and medications with prior approval. We have tried many cycles of clomid again no success : ( i think at this rate our only hope is trying ivf but money is tight as my husband has had multiple surgeries to repair his shoulder, back and now neck surgery on 12/14/2011....our road to having a baby has been a long road with many obsticles due to his surgeries but i am now writing and hoping that your facility can help make our dreams of having a baby together come true~please help!!! Our ages are i will be 43 on 12/26/2011 and my hubby will be 45 on 1/29/2012..i thank you in advance and pray you can help make our dreams come true!!!! Thank you michael & susan
