    The "Rotten Apple"

My name is Sue, I'm 34 years old and a proud "Mommy"
I have 2 children from a previous relationship. When I met the love of my life and true soulmate 14 years ago, I fell head over heels and am stillll head over heels for this beautiful man. After my first anniversary I realized something was wrong because I was not yet pregnant. I went to a fertility doctor. At first the doctor thought it was a male factor because my hubby didnt have any children, but as it turns out it wasn't him. Through a process of studies and 2 years gone by, I was diagnosed with "Blocked Fallopian Tubes"
I was upset to learn the results but relieved to learn that there was an operation to "unblock" my tubes. After theoperation to unblock my tubes I went home happy to try and get pregnant. I learned after trying for several months and not having any success I went to see my doctor who ordered more tests that showed that my tubes had blocked again. My husband was very growing restless. One night lying in bed my husband says to me "you are like a beautiful apple who's rotten on the inside" my heart sank and I thought about it and started to feel like a "rotten apple".
I went back to see my Fertility Doctor. My Doctor recommended that I have my tubes removed and try "In Vitro Fertilization"
    So I did, and
After being in and out of doctor's offices I was ready to try anything, at this point I was desperate!
So on my way to try "In Vitro" I went.
Through the marvelous world of technology and medicine I was able to get pregnant with my baby girl who is now 8 years old. I am a true testimonial for IVF. My daughter is the apple of her Daddy's eyes and he wishes that we had money to have lots of babies because he loves children and comes from a big family and his dream is to have a big family of his own. As my husband sees the growing families of his siblings, he has expressed how he wants more children. I think about our situation and can't help but feel like a "ROTTEN APPLE"
all over again. We recently came up with the money to try "Micro IVF" and went ahead with the procedure. I had one embryo fertilized and transferred and after having a positive pregnancy test we were so happy, it was a surreal moment for us. I had to go for a 2nd pregnancy test and later found out that my "beta" count had gone down. I was not pregnant!!
Total devastation for my whole family who had received the news that I was pregnant.
Winning a Micro IVF cycle would mean the world to me and my family. My family means the world to me, I will be 35 years old in a couple of months and can't keep waiting till I come up with the funds for another cycle in this uncertain economy. I don't want this for me as much as I want this for my husband to fulfill a life's desire to have another child, as he's made several of my dreams a reality.
I know this is kind of long, but it's genuine and very heartfelt.

I appreciate your story and wish you the very best. You sound more like a peach than a rotten apple and I hope and pray you will blossom once again.
