I'm 33 and my husband is 42. We have 2 children together. I had my tubes tied in 2001 due to me being overweight and having health issues. I have recently in 2009 had them untied and lost the weight and I'm healthy now. My husband was diagnosed with diabetes in 2008 and has a lower sperm count. I'm thinking about doing the mini ivf. We have been trying to conceive since 2009 after the tubal reversal with no success. I'm in Md, and would be traveling a distance. Is mini Ivf a good option for us? Thank You so much.

Depending on your ovarian potential that may be assessed by your antral follicle count and hormones you may respond to a full stimulation with more eggs which will give you more embryos to choose from or transfer and therefore a higher pregnancy rate. The lower your ovarian potential the smaller this difference will be. As the minimal stimulation IVF is $3900 that may prove to be more cost effective.
